USER ACCESS DURING PAYROLL PROCESSING

Payroll processing will begin as regularly scheduled on Tuesday, May 23rd. We have updated global user access of timesheets and approvals to be VIEW ONLY while payroll is running. Once payroll processing is complete, user access will be returned to normal. This is the same procedure we had prior to the upgrade, and it will be the procedure we follow for each payroll processing period going forward.





Tip of the Week

Our second holiday in HCM 9.2 was Independence Day, July 4th. Here is what you need to know:


If you did not work on the holiday:


  • Do not enter any hours on July 4th

  • Your timesheet will not prepopulate, and you should leave July 4th blank

  • The holiday hours will be reflected on the Payable Time Tab of your timesheet when the time before and after Tuesday, July 4th has been approved


If you worked on the holiday:


  • Enter the exact hours you worked on July 4th

  • Use the HOLWK time reporting code, only for July 4th

Q: Will default scheduled hours still be used to populate my timesheet?


A: Timesheets will no longer be prepopulated with default schedules, so you will be able to enter any amount of hours into any day of the week. For example, night shift workers can enter four hours on the first day of a night shift, and four hours on the second day. And employees who work on weekends will be able to enter worked or non-worked hours on Saturday or Sunday. Just report the exact hours you work (regular hours) on the days you work them, and report the exact hours you take off (vacation or sick time) on the days you take off.

Q: Will I be able to access the FIN and HCM modules at the same time?


A: Yes, but you might experience issues if you are trying to open FIN and HCM in the same type of browser. Try using a different browser for each suite (for example, open FIN in Internet Explorer and HCM in Google Chrome). If you still experience issues, please contact your IT Helpdesk.
